tcpDoh ("we," "our," or "us") provides network monitoring software and SMS-based alerting services for IT infrastructure teams. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our services.

We collect the following categories of information:

Contact information: mobile phone numbers provided by administrators for SMS alert delivery.
Network device data: IP addresses, hostnames, SNMP community strings, device types, and performance metrics (latency, packet loss, interface counters, CPU/memory utilization).
SMS interaction data: inbound and outbound SMS message content exchanged through the tcpDoh alerting system.
Account data: tenant identifiers, API keys, and collector configuration stored to operate the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Deliver automated network monitoring alerts via SMS when devices exceed configured performance thresholds.
Enable two-way SMS communication for infrastructure management (querying device status, silencing alerts, receiving HELP responses).
Operate and maintain the tcpDoh monitoring platform.
Respond to support requests sent to support@tcpdoh.com.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or distribute your mobile phone number or any mobile opt-in data to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

We use Twilio, Inc. solely as a carrier for SMS message delivery. Phone numbers are transmitted to Twilio only to the extent necessary to route messages. Twilio's use of that data is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Phone numbers: retained for as long as the user account is active. Removed upon account deletion or opt-out request.
Network metrics: time-series performance data is retained for 90 days by default, after which it is automatically purged.
Alert records: retained for 30 days after resolution.
SMS logs: message metadata (timestamp, direction) is retained for 30 days for troubleshooting purposes.

6. SMS Messaging

Program: tcpDoh Network Monitoring Alerts

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on network monitoring conditions and alert thresholds. You may receive multiple messages during an active incident.

Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Contact your carrier for details.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out of all tcpDoh SMS communications. You will receive a one-time confirmation message.

Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact support@tcpdoh.com.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security controls including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage for credentials, and access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel and services.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@tcpdoh.com. Opt-out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
